KB-natural N has preformed well for a farm in Lincolnshire. The barley harvest came in just days before the rain started in July. This barley was expected to produce a low yield as there was a problem early on resulting in no chicken muck being applied to the fields. With this being the case the barley was grown with just 50KG of applied Nitrogen, The KB-natural N program was applied perfectly by the farmer just the way he was advised to do it.
The field was monitored by Kidbybates and once developed the ears were often compared to those of a barley field in Norfolk that was being grown following a full Nitrogen (140KG +) program. Throughout the growing season the farmer was concerned about his barley but the ears when compared along side the ones in Norfolk the Lincolnshire ones always looked a little bit better

Harvest result in and despite using less applied Nitrogen its a better harvest than last year.
Last year the barley was grown with 100KG of applied Nitrogen plus a biological product from another company. This produced an average yield of just 2.4 tonnes per acre. A poor harvest for the farm.
This years results are still below what the farm should be achieving but considering the low amount of applied Nitrogen (just 50KG) they show just how good a product KB-natural N can be if used correctly.
This year the average Yield was up to 2.9 tonnes per acre, an increase of 0.5 tonnes per acre while using 50KG less Nitrogen. This makes an average yield per hectare of 7.1 tonnes using just 50KG of Nitrogen plus a couple of liters of KB-natural N. Saving around 99KG of delivered product per hectare (thats a large amount of CO2 saving). The national average barley yield for 2022 was 7.2 tonnes per hectare using an average of 150KG of Nitrogen.
With the lower cost of inputs this year this harvest has produced the farm a profit that equals their 5 year average. In addition to this the farmer spent less time looking after the barley crop allowing for other jobs on farm to be completed, and with the lower carbon footprint the farm could earn extra income from carbon credits.
